Overcoming perfection, let it go!
Overcoming perfection would be easy if I could say that I never worry, I never let stress get to me, I never feel guilt!
It would be so nice if the thought, “you know better”, “or you suck”, didn’t pass through my mind. But, it does, a lot!
Calm may not be in my personality description. There is always that thing on the horizon that I should be taking care of. Which, might not be so bad if it helped me prepare. However, most of the time it just makes me worry and then make a quick decision. Usually that’s decision is not best long run choice.
Carefree isn’t one of my personality traits either. Sometimes I think that if I don’t care enough about something then I will lose it or take advantage. Relationships for example, if I don’t care enough I will lose them or take advantage.
This year, I would like to overcome perfection, worry, stress, and guilt. Maybe it isn’t the best thought, but I doubt I completely overcome. I would just like to be 10% less of a perfectionist, worrier, stressed, and guilty.
